Our mission

Wifarer's mission is simple: to help venues improve their visitor experience.

Wifarer has developed revolutionary and proprietary technology that enables accurate navigation and pathfinding within a venue, where GPS does not effectively function. Our technology provides venues with the ability to guide, assist and communicate with their visitors in ways never before possible.

Wifarer works closely with academic and government institutions, including the University of Victoria and the National Research Council of Canada.

Philip Stanger, CEO

Philip is the co-founder and CEO of Wifarer Inc. He manages the strategic direction of Wifarer and works with Wifarer's developers to further its technology. He is an entrepreneur with over 20 years experience in the technology industry. He has served as a consulting systems architect for large organizations such as CIBC and the Ontario Provincial Government where he led a team that developed strategic web and backend database systems. Also, he is a multi-award winning composer who has composed incidental music for such clients such as Paramount Entertainment, CBS, BBC and many others. Education: BA, The Johns Hopkins University; MA, Yale University.

Steven Dengler, Director

Steven is a director and co-founder of Wifarer Inc. He is also the CEO and co-founder of XE.com Inc. Since its inception in 1993, XE.com has grown to become the world's favourite currency site, ranked by Amazon's Alexa service as the 300th most popular site in the world. Steven is also the founder of Dracogen Strategic Investments, which provides strategic financing to a number of high-tech ventures. With nearly twenty years of at the helm of an industry-leading online business, Steven is a tremendous asset to the Wifarer team.
