Wifarer Privacy Policy
Effective as of November 12, 2010 (“Effective Date”)
Your privacy is very important to us. Wifarer Inc. (“Wifarer”) has created this privacy policy (“Policy”) in order to demonstrate our commitment to your privacy. This Policy explains what information we collect about you and what we do with it. It applies to all products and services offered to you by Wifarer, including Wifarer’s mobile device navigation application (“App”). We want you to fully understand our privacy practices; in addition to this Policy, we have created a Privacy Officer whom you can contact with any questions or concerns.
We reserve the right to modify this Policy at any time. We will notify you of any material changes to the Policy by posting the modified Policy at http://www.wifarer.com/privacy.php and changing the Effective Date at the top (each such modification, also a “Policy”); we encourage you to check this page periodically for any changes. This Policy is incorporated into, and subject to, Wifarer’s Terms of Use (which can be found at http://www.wifarer.com/legal). By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree with this Policy. If you disagree with the terms of this Policy, you must not use the App and, if you have downloaded it to your mobile device, you must immediately delete it.
What information is collected from you?
We do not collect any personally identifiable information from you. When you install the App, a unique user identifier (“Identifier”) is stored on your mobile device. The Identifier cannot be used to determine your identity or any personal information about you.
How and where is information stored?
All information transmitted to Wifarer by the App is logged and stored in a central server. Your Identifier is used solely to pair your location request with data from Wifarer in order to facilitate a specific, one-time location transaction. We do not retain any personally identifiable information about you or your mobile device.
How is information used?
We use your Identifier to determine your location within a particular venue. We use aggregate data and the non-personally identifiable information logged by our system to improve the service which we offer you
Is information collected shared with third parties?
As we do not collect any personally identifiable information from you, we obviously do not (and cannot) share such information with any third parties. However, we may use non-personally identifiable information we collect to improve the content which is offered you.
What will you contact me for?
We may periodically contact you, through the App, to let you know that a new version, update or upgrade to the App is available.
